HistoryEdit

Globe

The Planet amongst the Metropolis nightline.

Founded in the nineteenth century, The Daily Planet is a news organization, located in the middle of Metropolis city. It's one of the most successful news agencies in the world, in addition to being famous for the giant globe on top of the building.

Clark Kent got a job as a reporter at the Daily Planet after moving to Metropolis following the discovery of his true heritage at the Fortress of Solitude. It was here that Clark met the love of his life, Lois Lane. Much of the building was damaged after Lex Luthor led General Zod, Non and Ursa to the Daily Planet to lure Superman into a fight.

Later, media mogul David Warfield and his daughter Lacy take over the newspaper and attempted to turn it into a sleazy tabloid. Clark's outspoken opinions on delivering the truth is noticed by Lacy who develops a liking for him. Perry White went to the bank and acquired the funds to buy back his newspaper.
